Hi there, i have one server in my company and windows server R2 installed in it, two days ago i was able to access all the shared folders in the clients computers from it, but suddenly today i am not able to access the shared folders of windows server r2 i havent changed anything in the server, no configuration change, nuthing, even i have installed all the updates, its upto date as well, even the firewall is off, but still i am not able to access its shared folders.

After that i'd be looking at installing wireshark on a client and seeing what the traffic logs show flag Report. Have you tried creating a new test share? What about using computer name instead of IP? Domain or workgroup? Double check network profile on both server and client. Turn on network discovery on client. Error said cannot find so check dns. The issue definately seems to be with that IP address on the server If it were me, I'd try changing the server IP address to a new one Then ping the old one and see if you get a response, and do the same tests with the new IP address flag Report.
